Illegal Magic Trick - Bill restoration

I think this is a pretty neat creation by this french guy.

"[Note : Sorry for my english, i'm french ^^]

PS : I've made the music, hope you will like it :-)

It's a little trick i've made up.
A dollar bill is introduced (can be borrowed) and signed by a spectator. The performer pass the pen through the bill, leaving a small hole. The hole is touched by the spectator : it's a real one, no flap. The spectator see the hole and his signature at the same time.

The magician simply take the bill and with one move, the bill is now restored. Both side are showed and the bill is given to examination (without switch) : nothing to find. Just a simple signed bill.

Enjoy ! :D" -DeamonMagic

Fake Jerry's Nugget Cards!!!!

"These are fake Jerry's nuggets cards bought from Ebay. The seller was jerrynuggetsfan.

Go to http://decknique.net/forums/thread:4912 for info

For those that don't know, Jerry's Nugget cards regularly go for $100-$200 per deck on Ebay." -

"

If any of you have bought cards from jerrynuggetsfan on ebay you had better check them out right now. I just opened one of the "sealed decks" and they are FAKE!!!

No wonder this a-hole has been flooding the market... I feel raped.

I will follow up with info as I find it.

I have also bought one no cellophane(as described) deck from Shawn (s.carder) and was very pleased, but he is a slightly unknown entity so far.

Let me know of other reliable sellers cause I know there are more out there." -ANDY

As always, theory11 held a new Saturday Night Contest in the forums this past weekend. We wanted to do something a bit different, so we took questions directly from members around the world and answered them in a 17 minute MP3 podcast featuring Dan Buck (50% of Dan and Dave).

Listen to it
now, and hear details about Dan and Dave's new playing cards - Smoke and Mirrors - coming soon at theory11.

So what's on tap for this week's Saturday Night Contest, you ask?

Here's the scoop: Lee Asher will be hosting the contest, and it will take place - as is tradition - this coming Saturday, May 31st, starting at 7:30pm EST. If you're on his buddy list, then you'd know more.

Ever wanted to peek into how we operate behind the scenes at theory11? We won't say too much publicly until the night of the contest, but you might want to download this image and be prepared. Prizes, trivia, new discussion with WITNESS... we've already said too much.

Detritus tutorial

"gee, I'm bored. this is just the result of testing out a Panasonic HVX200. Bad encoding, so it probably looks like crap on YouTube. however shoot me a PM or something to get a high definition download link for the video.

For once, a descriptive name on a cut.
(for those less learned, detritus is a term used to describe anything rubbish or waste)

Also, additional credits go to Ashford Kneitel for the Tornado cut opener." -Allan Hagen

Cardistry Johnathan

I like Johnathan's performance and his proficiency.

Katarche

"Inaugural personal card-flourishing video of yours truly.

A Video for All and None.

From Wiki:
Katarche is an ancient Greek word meaning a "beginning" or "inception."

---------------------------------------

It has always been a dream of mine to present a card flourishing video with a philosophical meandering underneath it, making it more complete. Being a strong proponent of the notion of the Nietzschean Ubermensch/Overman, I personally it's especially apt to include his idea here, as I think card flourishing is an artform where artists need to constantly overcome themselves and trends (or fads?) to reach higher skies.

The very reason I chose to release this video on an excessively-unpopular day of the week - Monday (19th May 08), it is due to the fact that a Buddhism' major event - Vesak Day falls on the 19th May this year. I would like to burrow the idea of Buddha's mark of final Enlightenment into this context, increasing the significance of my ideal. Don't worry, I am no religious zealot. =)The direct polar opposite of it, actually. ^_^

- Conceptualised by LingNemesis
- Performed by LingNemesis
- Editted by LingNemesis
- Inspiration from Friedrich W. Nietzsche and all those who defied.
- Thanks to The Flourishers for The Art and igniting The Passion consistently
- Ulver for their symphony - The Future Sound of Music
- Stuart of Czaras for his help in camerawork.
- Filmed at CityLink Mall and Esplanade's skyterrance respectively

Enjoy and go forth to search for your own flourishing nirvana.

---------------------------------------- ---------------------

One sidenote: I am fully cognisant of the fact that the video quality is seriously lacking. Being a first time user and experimentator of video-production, I have yet to familiarise myself with many technical aspects of the abovementioned." -Ling

BLACKPOOL 2008

***COURTESY OF ALLAN HAGEN***

I promised everyone that I would post the final Blackpool video here, and so here it is. It was a shock this morning; I hadn't expected to find it finished already -- but Allan has spent much of his free time playing with the video. I feel that was very kind of him, considering the little spare time he has. Happy Birthday, mate.

So without further ado, I present to you the final instalment of the trio; "BLACKPOOL 2008". Despite the apparent mental-retardness, I hope you do have fun watching -- it was certainly a great Convention. Thank you to all that attended and made it what it was! I'd also like to thank Dan and Dave Buck for allowing me to post this Clip Shift performance; very kind of them.

Enjoy,

Nebula Cut Released By TheCuso

PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING!
Ok, finaly i decided to release this move to the public.

I think it's my best creation and though it might seem an easy and stupid cut it has a lot of potential.

Nebula is an utility move that it's meant to be incorporated into more complex and elaborated flourishes.

As an elegant alternative to the swing cut it can also be used to divide the deck in two halves in the middle of your favourite one handed cuts routine.

I like to use it before making a smear fan in the right hand and a carnahan in the left to show a circle.

I know many people (includding my friends Jonas Haglund, Huron Low, TicaL and others) are using this move and have came up with fantastic variations and combos that might eventually be made public for you.

I had a hard time deciding if i should release this move or keep it for me and my friends but you know how i am and how i think, and for those of you that dont i'll tell you...

I think this move has a lot of potential as i said so keeping it wouldn't make our art progress in any way.

So here is my little gift for you to experiment.

I would like to see hundreds of video responses with your ideas upon this concept and of course i would like you to TAKE YOUR TIME to comment on what do you think about the move (what is nice and what is not...) so please stay away from saying: "nice", "wow", "great stuff" "thanks" "keep it up" kind of comments, PLEASE! :P

I want to thank everyone that watches my stuff, all my subscribers here and specially in my blog (those of you that take me seriously :P), all my flourishing friends and the video editor who asked me to keep his name private.
CLICK HERE TO GO TO THE COMMENTS SECTION OF MY BLOG: http://www.thecuso.info/2008/05/thecu...

Thanks a lot once again and enjoy!" -Alejandro Portela (TheCuso)
